The River of Life Christian Fellowship is a God-fearing organic church. ROL is committed to seeing lives changed through the Power of God. ROL's # 1 mission is to introduce as many people as possible to Jesus.
Our Statement of Faith is as follows:
God has established The River as an inter-denominational family of believers. We have been called together to worship the Lord, grow in our knowledge of His Word, and do His work of service and witness. We strive to be one body by honoring one Lord and affirming one faith. We welcome into membership all who love the Lord Jesus Christ and have been born again of the Spirit of God. God's Word establishes simple but profound guidelines for fellowship. We affirm the following truths:
God: God eternally exists as a Trinity in Unity, One God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (II Cor. 13:14)
Jesus: Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of God. He is worshipped as God and acknowledged to be fully human. (John 1:1-3). Jesus of Nazareth, as God with us, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life as He proclaimed God's reign and destroyed the works of the devil. He voluntarily suffered death by crucifixion to atone for the sins of the world. God vindicated Christ's Ministry by raising Him from the dead. Christ is presently exalted and has been given all authority in heaven and earth. (Mark 1:14-15; Heb. 1:1-3; I Cor. 15:3-8)
Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit lives in every believer empowering & gifting them to live a life pleasing to God. (Acts 1:8; 2:4; Eph. 5:18; 1 Cor. 12-14; Gal 5:22-23)
The Bible: The Bible, both Old and New Testament is God's inspired and authoritative word, the final and infallible guide for all matters of faith and practice. (II Tim. 3:15-17).
Creation: God created humankind, male and female, in His image. Man and woman were created to "worship God and enjoy Him forever" rejoicing in his presence, and resourcefully overseeing His creation. This blessed estate was forfeited through willful rebellion. As a result of this fall, the entire human race is alienated from God and stands in need of divine grace and reconciliation. (Gen. 3, Rom. 5:12-21).
Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God received by repentance from sin and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. God regenerates by His Word, justifies by His grace, adopts by His mercy and sanctifies by his blood. This great salvation cannot be earned by any human effort; it must be received by faith. (Rom. 3, Eph. 2:8-10; Tit. 3:5)
The Church: Every Christian is part of the universal church; however this participation means commitment to a local family of believers. God has established diverse ministries to equip the saints. The institutions of baptism and Communion are the visible expressions of initiation and continuation in the community of faith. (Acts 2:38-39, 42-47; II Cor.)
The Return: The Lord Jesus Christ will visibly return to glorify His church and judge unbelievers. Those who belong to Christ will enjoy heaven forever. those Who reject his grace will experience eternal separation from God. (Matt. 25:31-46)
